Welcome to Café Murakami, a delightful café nestled in the heart of Kanazawa’s Nagamachi district. This charming spot, located at 2 Chome-3-33 Nagamachi, offers a serene escape from the bustling city streets and invites visitors to indulge in its unique offerings. With a cozy interior contrasted by a lovely garden space, it perfectly embodies the tranquil spirit of Japanese café culture.

One can’t visit Café Murakami without indulging in their signature desserts. The Montblanc mochi, highlighted by several delighted patrons, is a must-try. Imagine biting into this exquisite treat, where the rich, chestnut flavor dances on your palate, perfectly balanced with the subtle chewyness of mochi. For matcha enthusiasts, the café serves what many claim to be the best matcha latte in Kanazawa, crafted with premium matcha that delivers a perfectly brewed, grassy and creamy experience in each sip. However, note that drinks are served in plastic cups, a minor inconvenience for those preferring more elegant tableware.

Wanted a mont black and we stopped at cafe Murakami for a quick pick me up while exploring the area. The desserts were pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. They have a nice garden on the side with tables. The outdoor area is much nicer than the inside.

Best matcha latte we've had so far and the price is fair. Recommended!

This cafe became my favourite!!! A woman with glasses (I think in practice) attended us and she was soooooo nice, we love her. She help us to decide and was so charming. That was absolutely fabulous. We ordered Montblanc mochi as she recommended and we love it too Hope more people like her! Thank you so much!!! The cafe is clean and the food is good. It's only missing the WiFi, it's would be perfect then.

A cute little cafe and shop where you can rest and have a snack. I saw people eating the famous gold leaf ice cream and drinks, however I only picked up a few of the local delicacy sweets to try. They were explained in English so I understood what they were, and they were all delicious. Great ideas for gifts!

Came here before going to the samurai museum as we needed to refresh a bit. Ordered a matcha and a mochi with gold foil (with read bean paste). Food was good, matcha was ok. I would prefer to have the matcha in a regular cup and not plastic as I was drinking it in the shop, but there was no chance. Every drink is served in plastic cups. For the food we had ceramic plate I do really appreciate that.

stopped by for some dessert while exploring the samurai district and wow!! Mont Blanc OML this was just amazing and look how beautiful it is!! the layers are insane. it was roasted chestnut heavennn. anyone who loves chestnuts, you’ll love this!! it just melted in your mouth, it was super creamy and went perfectly with all the other textural layers. the flavours just blended so cohesively. Gold Leaf Dessert ofc you can’t go to kanazawa without having some gold! i think these were dango but they were really soft and chewy like a baby butt hehe. and it was very nice to look at. also the location is in an amazing spot! the staff are so friendly and it has a lovely garden. a must visit! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 6/6 for more in depth travel reviews and food!! follow me on ig! @hangryhawlz

We found this café while strolling around the Samurai District. We decided to stop in for a break, and it turned out that their menu was amazing! I ordered a warabi mochi hojicha latte, and it was delicious! The drink was perfectly sweet, and the warabi mochi added the perfect touch. There were plenty of seats inside, and they also sold souvenirs.
